King of the Campground

This is one big camping chair.  We saw this in Big 5 sporting goods.  Almost enough room for the whole family.  It features 6 cup holders and a gigantic travel bag all for only $99.99.

Ryan's First Rock Climbing Trip

We have a membership at Cascade Athletic Club that lets us use all of the different locations.  They recently purchased a gym in Vancouver that has a great rock wall.  It is free to use if you have all your own equipment.  If you don't have your own harness and shoes it is $2 to rent the equipment.  The rock wall is very nice with a lot of natural features on it.  There is a whole other section these pictures don't show.  It was a long drive to get there, but with the free climbing and kids club it was worth it.

Ryan had more fun swinging on the rope than climbing.  We have about 5 blurry pictures because every time we started to take his picture he would start swinging.

Climb Away

Ryan and Sydney have discovered how much fun it is to climb trees.  They didn't want to get down.

Late Easter

Ryan and Sydney made Easter bunny  faces at the babysitters house.

We got a new camera since our last one got ruined at the beach.  It is a Canon Powershot ELPH 100 HS.  I was playing with the picture settings and played around with the color settings on the picture of Ryan.  So far I really like the camera.

Ghetto Park

Main Street Park is not my favorite park.  Ryan wanted to go there and it was close so we went. The kids had a fun time and Ryan only asked once why the people in the pavilion were making bad choice and using mean words.

Raised garden part 2

To fill our raised planter beds we had 3 yards of 4 way compost mix and 1 yard of top soil delivered.  It was mixed together to provide good soil for our garden.

Everyone helped move it from the front to the back.  Ryan was very excited about using a shovel his size - my camping shovel.

Sydney is not in any of the pictures but she also helped.  It was raining the whole time and Ryan and Sydney were covered in mud.

We filled both the planters to the top and had about 1 yard of mixture left.  Tom Roake is going to pick it up Monday to use in their garden.  They have a few families with gardens at their house.

RANCH!

I am not sure why we keep going back to the Truffle Hunter in Gresham for Dinner.  The service is horrible (they were training a new waitress while we were there who got our order correct) and it is always noisy.  But, they do have incredible parmesan cheese fries and great hamburgers.  Plus you can always find 2 for one coupons or discounts.

We went on Cinco de Mayo so we were one of two tables in the entire restaurant and it was quiet and we didn't have to worry about the kids being too loud.

Ryan likes to dip his chicken in ranch dressing; a lot of ranch dressing.  As you can see, or not see, there is more ranch than chicken.

He uses the "stick" from my hamburger to skewer the chicken and dip into the ranch.  A lot of his dinner was lost in the ranch during the dipping process.

Fun at home

Sydney finally stood still for a picture.

Ryan gets very focused on his work and does not like distractions.
